What are sapiens' 'unique' trait/ability in the natural world?

I've been reading a few articles on digg and have been looking at method naturalle for some time, but I wanted to know if humans have unique ability in the natural world? just like ants are propagators of the soil, Cheetahs have speed, what do humans bring to the mix...other than destroying everything?
