How do illegals come up with $11,000 ,$10,000,to come to US are things not as bad as supporters claim?

It's not just Brasilians, but every other foreign National who tries to enter our country illegally! If they can come up with that kind of money to PAY to be transported over the border, why do they want to work here for minimum wages or under the table!? It makes no sense if they can aculate that kind of money at home, why come over here at all!???
