My 1 week and 5 days old baby is alway crying.......?

my 1 week and 5 days old baby is alway crying. I am 21 years old first time been a mom and let me just say I LOVE MY SON to death but he is always cry. I make sure his pamper is clean, his skin is washed, he's well fed and his skin is not hot yet when i put him down he is always crying. I cant always hold him in my hand because i would soon be going back out to work and i am looking some advice on how to get him stop crying and for the record i already tried the pacifier. Any advice for a new young mother?
