If so many British hate the royal family, why don't they vote to dissolve the monarchy?

So far, they have not held a referendum on the subject. If they did, I feel fairly confident that a majority of the people would be sensible and vote to keep them. I don't think you will find that the majority of the British do hate the royal family, you cannot judge most Britons by the silly anti-royalists who post on here.
