I know people tend to pride themselves on knowing bits and pieces of African-American culture, but as the culture contorts, is watered down, and becomes mainstream, it's really not as impressive. It's much better to learn certain things by actually befriending African-American people, families and communities, than ask for jokes or quotes so you can tell people that your black friend thinks you're cool.
